Full time job
After I graduated from the professional school, I was employed by a Swedish company in Japan. This company was mainly selling the depilation machines (new technology). My job was to help them to extend their Asian market. In the first 3 months in this company, I went for business trip to Taiwan and Italy.
When I worked in the Japanese environment, I found out that my ability of using Japanese was really not good enough. I can deal with daily Japanese office conversation well, but when I had to use the polite Japanese to talk with the clients, I found that I really need to study more.
In the first month I joined this company, I was even scared of picking up and transferring the incoming calls inside the office.

Working in Japan
In Japan, to use the office phone to talk the private matters is usually not allowed. Everyone used to stay in the office around 1 hour late even they finished their job. (they said it is not polite to leave the office on time) An average in Tokyo, the people needs more than 1 hour to take the train from work to home. If they finish work at 8pm, take train and arrive home at 9pm, have dinner and take shower, it will be almost 11pm and ready to sleep.
